Lenovo announced the launch CES 2012 with a new 10-inch tablet that runs on Ice Cream Sandwich. With the launch of this tablet Lenovo has officially adopted the name of the tablet and the moon Pad, replacing IdeaPad be IdeaTab.
Lenovo IdeaTab S2 will have a laptop dock, and select the target consumers who need a tablet to help him in productivity. S2 will be a 10-inch tablet with a thickness of approximately 0.3 inches (7.6mm) and weighs 1.1 pounds (499g), so only a little thinner and lighter than Prime Transformer. S2 will pack a dual-core CPU Snapdragon MSM8960 S4 and will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Lenovo also said it will use the User Interface Mondrian, and instead use Android's UI. With a laptop dock, S2 Lenovo claims a battery will last 20 hours. Unfortunately there are no further details regarding pricing and release to consumers who are interested in buying it.
